Reds seeing red

Something interesting to blog about, at long last.

Disclaimer: I am not an avid fan of soccer. What i’m posting are just my 2 cents worth. I blog in peace.

So, apparently, Man United’s losing streak caught my attention. It’s amazing how Man U can manage to lose 3 players in 2 matches. Both of which they lost.

4-1 against liverpool and 2-0 against fulham. total bummer. they’re in for a tough time, i guess, with 3 of their players gone. especially wayne rooney.

What wayne rooney did was dumb to say the least. I wonder what was going through his mind when he hurled the ball in the direction of the referee with disgust portrayed all over his face. He would’ve been forgiven if this was his first league match of his career – on the grounds of immaturity. But ironically, he has been playing top-level football for quite awhile by now and his actions reflects the level of tolerance he has.

But he might have done what he did because of the amount of pressure in his head. He might be anxious to produce a result as they were tailing behind with a 1-0 lead by fulham. So when the referee blew the whistle, he, too, blew his top.

But from what i have read, the reds have got one of the worst temper in the league. Fans are sick and tired of red devils whining and whingeing when the referee makes a decision that goes against them. it’s about time they learnt their lesson, be it the hard way or otherwise. And Scholes had to be the man – akin to a teacher punishing their rebellious students. Thanks to scholes, the red devils can now take time off, especially rooney, to reflect and hopefully, they will improve the next time round.
